Post 9: Thoughts of Sample Essay

I (Brigit) was in a group with Valerie and Tshandi

We chose to look at Sample 1:  The Writing Guide with Comments

These were our findings:

• less positive comments
• clarity issues
• too indirect
• asking questions, rather than giving answers
• overwhelming
• bottom comment is clearer than the shorter comments

Our Research question is:

How does the way comments are organized and phrased confuse the students?

Comment number 3 is overwhelming, doesn't give example, expected to know who would be a better reference than Herrick
